Tokenized commodities on the XRP Ledger
Short version: A commodity token is an IOU on the XRP Ledger that says it stands for something physical — gold, a megawatt-hour of electricity, a collection of diamonds, a silo of grain. The ledger can show how many tokens exist, who holds them and what the issuer is allowed to do (freeze, claw back). It cannot show that the physical goods exist. ReserveWatch reads the ledger part, honestly, for every class. Not investment advice; not an audit or proof of reserves.
Today ReserveWatch runs live checks on 17 XRPL tokens across 5 classes (gold, silver, platinum, electricity and diamonds). Every other class below has an explainer page that says plainly when no public XRPL issuer is tracked yet — we add a token only when its issuer account can be confirmed on XRPL mainnet.

How every commodity token is checked
- Same rules for every class. Supply, issuer flags (freeze, Global Freeze, clawback, RequireAuth), AMM pools and order books against XRP and RLUSD, holder concentration and
xrp-ledger.tomldomain verification. See the methodology. - Peg vs spot only where a fair spot price exists. Gold, silver, platinum and palladium are compared with a public spot price. Other classes show "price vs spot not measured" instead of a made-up number.
- Soft labels, not accusations. Unverified listing and Issuer link unconfirmed mean we could not confirm the issuer from the project itself — nothing more.
